"A doula for everyone who wants one" Pregnancy and birth are times of great joys, unknowns, fears, sorrows, magic, connection, love, and more. Nobody should have to face it alone. As a doula, it's my mission to ensure that you and your partner(s) and family have the best possible pregnancy and birth experience(s)! With my unique background in yoga, comprehensive sexual health education, public health, and intimacy coaching, I offer not only hands-on support throughout your pregnancy and birth as well as postpartum - I can help you get back to the intimacy you had before baby. What's the role of a doula? A doula is someone who is there to emotionally support and advocate for the person giving birth. They help make scary, unknown territory feel navigable and are there to help you gain confidence in areas that are potentially your most vulnerable times of life (also the most precious!). Using evidence-based, tried-and-true techniques, I empower my clients to speak up for their needs and wishes as well as coach their birth partner(s) and families through life during and after pregnancy. I provide a safe space to ask questions, learn positions to help with labor and delivery, and care for you as you go through this joyful and terrifying time of life. My priority is to keep my clients safe, healthy, and happy, and to ensure that their birth experience(s) are the best that they can be. Whether you're on your first pregnancy, your last pregnancy, or anywhere in between, I want you to know I've got your back! Prenatal Services 24/7 on-call support between 38-42 weeks or pregnancy (beginning earlier if there are pre-term labor challenges) Prenatal meetings focused on preparing your mind, body, and spirit for baby's arrival. This workshop includes all the basics to tying up, getting tied up, handcuffing, blindfolds, shackles, and more. This is your in for learning the ropes. Sections -Solo (friends and family welcome) -For couples Communication 101 This workshop should really be a prerequisite to the rest of the workshops offered, and, I implore you to take it before you take any of the couples workshops. Communication is a necessary, vital part of sex and intimacy. This workshop offers a complete guide to communicating your needs and wants to your partner(s) as well as learning how to communicate effectively with yourself. Sections: -Solo (friends and family welcome) -For couples The couples section will include one-on-one mini discussions and practice sessions with you and your partner(s) that are guided by myself to allow you to be in a safe space while you discover the connection and value in communicating effectively. Safer Sex 101 Perfect for people just beginning their sexual journey, this workshop covers the basics of safe sex without all the myths, fear, and abstinence-based methods found in other settings. In this workshop, we will talk about contraception, prophylactic measures, STI testing, STI protection and briefly cover STI symptoms, concerns, and treatments so that you have all the tools in your toolbelt for having the safest sex possible! This workshop is also a great pre-requisite, and I recommend taking it before you begin any sort of sexual act, including with yourself - safe is sexy!
